TOP TEN TUESDAY TBR LIST FOR FALL

Brought to us by The Broke and The Bookish

This is going to be a fun one!  I can't wait to read all the great lists that will be produced today!

1.   1Q84 by Haruki Murakami - very interested to see if this takes America by storm and if I am also swept away by it.  I might make Mr. BookBelle read it first.

1Q84

2.  V is for Vengeance by Sue Grafton - she only publishes 1x every two years.  I'm darn tootin' ready to read Kinsey's next adventure.

V is for Vengeance (Kinsey Millhone Mystery)

3.  The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach - both Melody and Crowe liked it and I think that makes it a good one.  Again, might give it to Mr. BookBelle first.

The Art of Fielding: A Novel

4.  I Am Half-Sick of Shadows:  A Flavia de Luce Novel by Alan Bradley - 4th installment and the first three have been quite good.

I Am Half-Sick of Shadows: A Flavia de Luce Novel

5.  11/22/63:  A Novel by Stephen King - This I will anxiously pre-read for my Mom's birthday in December.  I am very interested in the 1960s in general and I think Stephen King can do this dark day in history some justice.

11/22/63: A Novel

6.  Pirate King by Laurie R. King - next installment in the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series - They have not disappointed yet!

Pirate King: A novel of suspense featuring Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes (Russell & Holmes, Book 11)

7.  Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich - I dread this early release of the next in series as much as I look forward to it.  I feel like Evanovich stands on thin ice already with her readers.  This one better be good to be jumping to an early release.

Explosive Eighteen: A Stephanie Plum Novel

8.  Wicked Autumn by G.M. Malliet - This is a Max Tudor novel.  I believe it is a first.

Wicked Autumn: A Max Tudor Novel

9.  A Trick of the Light by Louise Penny - Another series installment.  This one is about Chief Inspector Gamache.  This one actually is already out but I need to catch up with the series still.

A Trick of the Light: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel

10.  I'm reserving this spot for a new book that I spot today on someone else's list!

Have a great day!

  5. Great list! I can't wait to read the Flavia de Luce books but I've only read the first so far. The Stephen King and Haruki Murakami are also on my TBR but I didn't put them on my list.

  7. I think I feel the same way about Explosive 18 as you do! I've been struggling with liking them when they were coming out a year apart... four months makes me very very wary

  8. Great list, Belle. We have several books in common on our lists.

I didn't do a Top Ten today because I'd posted a list of 25 books I was really looking forward to reading just a couple of weeks ago. Didn't want to repeat myself. :)

  11. So many good picks!!! Two that sound good are the Laurie King book and the Max Tudor novel. And Stephen King, always a favorite of mine.

I feel the same way you do about Evanovich ~ I am worried for her! I look forward to number 18 as well!
