You’ve just had a long, hard, exhausting day, and all you want to do is curl up with something light, fun, easy, fluffy, distracting, and entertaining. What book do you pick up?
You can't really go wrong with Celia Rivenbark. Her titles alone make me giggle!
Ditto for Laurie Notaro. Funny titles will pull me in every time.
I also recently discovered Jennifer Crusie. Bet Me was a very fun and funny book and all the shoes were fabulous.

I have never heard of these authors. Going to have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHere is my BTT answer.
Those books seem like fun:) Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI love some of your picks. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of any of these. I like the titles but (and it's a big one) are they chic lit (yes, I really did ask that because I have problems with that genre)?
ReplyDeleteThey are all new to me, but look like fun reads. I lean toward light romance when I am tired or in a reading slump.
ReplyDeleteLove those Celia Rivenbark titles and they look kind of old school. Will have to look into them when I need to have some humor in my books
ReplyDeleteI will have to look into these books. All new authors to me.

I just tried Celia's latest book and couldn't get into it :-(
ReplyDeleteYou should send me your address and I'll drop it in the mail for you! It's an ARC paperback.
I love Crusie, I have a few Notaro's on my shelf but I haven't read them yet, and I haven't heard of Rivenbark! Gonna have to check her out on Goodreads....:)
ReplyDeleteI need to try out those first two authors! Celia Rivenbark's titels sound especially funny.
ReplyDeletePlease pop by and see my shout out and award for you

You are so right!! Fluffy distracting books are sometimes a necessity! I will have to add Rivenbark and Notaro to my lists to read. I love Jennifer Cruisie (most of the time.) :)
