Why I Love Wednesdays is a meme where we can describe what we love best in our books. This week we are describing what type of characters we like best.
Although I am an eclectic reader, I really love mystery solving characters. I like these characters best because I may be one of the most non-observant, illogical women to walk the face of the earth. I am the one that can walk into a room with a brand new Christmas tree lit up like Fourth of July fireworks and not even notice it until I trip over it. I guess it makes those logical, problem-solving women my heroes. They do tend to have quite a calming effect on me.
Some of my favorites from the recent and not-so-recent past are Flavia de Luce, Mary Russell and Miss Marple. There are many, many others but, alas, it's Wednesday, and perhaps I'm not quite as enthusiastic about Wednesdays as our friend, Miss Alexis.
I love your post! I love mystery solving characters as well. For one thing, they seem so much smarter than the average bear. I especially love when they are women.
ReplyDeleteI actually write my "Why I love" posts the Wednesday before in my Reproductive Rights class. We aren't allowed to have computers out (which is good cause I would just visit blogs) so I write my post. I get about an hour or so to think about it. It doesn't help that it is also my last class of the day. lol. Good thing the final for that class is a take-home paper ;)

Ah, multi-tasking, I see. Do any of your classes allow you to have computers? I'm surprised at how few allow it at my college too.
