"Pick a character from a book you are currently reading or have just finished and tell us about him/her."
I don't think we are intended to think of the four Ms. Bradwells as separate characters so I will tell you about each of them. The Four Ms. Bradwells by Meg Waite Clayton tells of four women that first met in law school. The story begins about 25 years later.
Mia - A journalist who was married briefly but her husband left her for another man. She's not been married again, she has no children, she's a superstar journalist traveling the world but has just been fired. She hasn't told her friends yet.
Laney - An African American politician who is happily married with four children and is considering a run for senate.
Betts - She is a college professor that has just been nominated to be a Supreme Court Justice. The story opens at her senate confirmation hearings. Past skeletons, first exposed on a blog(!) come out of the closet. What really happened 25 years ago?
Ginger - daughter of the infamous Faith, an ERA advocate, she feels overshadowed. Her daughter, Isabella, has just started law school. Although her mother, Faith, has just died, she still struggles with how to be more than just Faith's daughter.
Glad to be back hopping again.
